Care Info

Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch leaves and flowers.

Watering

Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings.

Humidity

Prefers high humidity, typical of its rainforest origin. Benefits from misting, pebble trays, or placement in naturally humid rooms (kitchens, bathrooms).

Temperature

Prefers warm temperatures (21-32°C / 70-90°F). Avoid cold drafts.

Growth Habit

Clumping growth habit, typically reaching 30-60cm (1-2 ft) in height and width.

Placement Suggestions

Excellent as a tabletop centrepiece, on desks, reception counters, in bathrooms or kitchens with good light, or anywhere a pop of long-lasting colour is desired.

Special Notes

The colourful 'flowers' (spathes) are very long-lasting. All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals, causing irritation.
